Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation
Bellafill © and Micropixel HD™
Like many people in the beach communities, Kathleen has had some sun damage to her skin from sun bathing. Having a preference for a natural look, her non-surgical treatment was accomplished using a combination of Bellafill®, Sculptra®, and our patented Micropixel HD™ Co2 laser. Kathleen was able to turn back the clock and regain about 10 years by smoothing out her wrinkles and adding volume back into her face.
Aged to Ageless with Mixto Laser Skin Resurfacing and liquid facelift
A fractional Co2 laser was used to resurface all the fine wrinkles on her skin. The puffy area under the eyes were also treated by laser and fillers were used to make a smooth transition to the cheek. Her Liquid Facelift included using Bellafill® and Sculptra® to add definition and global volumizing. Finally, she had a subtle lip restoration with a hyaluronic acid filler called Juvederm®. Ageless beauty!
She was advised to get regular tuneups with both Bellafill® and Sculptra®, as well as possible re-laser in approximately 3 years, to stave off the aging process.
Laser Skin Resurfacing and Filler
A Fractional Co2 Laser was used to minimize the fine wrinkles around the mouth and eyes.

Smoker's lines GONE!
And "Shelley" was not even a smoker! Laser resurfacing has come a long way since the olden days in the 90's and 2000's. Micropixel HD™ was developed at Riviera Laser Studios as a specific, reproducible method for achieving maximal results with minimal risk. The permanent improvement of her lip lines was achieved with precision placement of Artefill®, then a Micropixel Max laser resurfacing. A subtle lift of the nasolabial lines, marionette lines and conservative lip restoration complement the superb skin resurfacing result to give a pleasantly natural outcome. We saw Shelley 5 years out, and though she could not afford to continue to tune up her face, her results were long lasting, and years of compliments were well worth the investment!

Fractional Co2 Laser with Fillers
Nurse and mom to our own Dr. Mark, Judi gets all the latest with Sculptra®, Artefill®, Erbium Laser, Fractional CO2 laser, and Botox®. Notice in this before picture which was taken in 2002 at the age of 60, she has droopy eyelids, sun damaged skin, and a descent of the lower face giving her a sad appearance. In the after photo, taken 8 years later, at the age of 68, shows a revitalized appearance. She could easily be in her late 50s, and in fact sometimes gets carded at her retirement community which has a minimum age of 55. Now her appearance matches her healthy lifestyle and energy level.
"Ed" is a successful businessman, but not interested in getting a facelift for several reasons: he did not want the windblown look, he also did not want visible scars around and behind his ears. He opted for a limited Mixto® resurfacing of his eyelid skin and correction of his facial asymmetry with Artefill® long lasting filler. Over several sessions, we were able to achieve a subtle and pleasing volume restoration to his lower eyelid and cheek area. He now has a more healthy appearance to match his fit physique.
Typical result for periorbital laser skin resurfacing
"Jenna" underwent periorbital, or upper and lower eyelid skin resurfacing with the Mixto® Fractional CO2 laser. We find that this is a typical result, a very natural appearance, with reduction in the appearance of crows feet and tightening and smoothing of the upper and lower eyelid skin. In keeping with our philosophy of healthy aging and "looking great for your age", we do not aim to make someone look 20 again. In Jenna's case, no one would suspect she had anything done. A great thing about eyelid resurfacing is that you will never get that hollow eyed surgical look that is in itself a telltale sign of age. In many patients we can enhance the result with a concurrent filler treatment to replace lost volume. Even a small amount of filler can accomplish a lot in this area of the face. As with all patients over 35, maintaining your Botox® treatments every 3-4 months maintains the result of your laser and prevents new wrinkles from forming.
Age spot removal with Erbium laser
Jeffrey was one of the first patients we ever worked on approximately 12 years ago. He was a security guard at our medical office building and as I walked by him every day, I wanted to remove all those seborrheic keratoses and skin tags on his face. Finally I got the courage to ask him if he wanted them off. He gratefully said he used to be a TV personality and "good lookin indeed!" He allowed me to use this photo forever more to show what the yag:Erbium laser can do for facial spots. We hope he is back on TV and would like him to come back by for some volume restoration!
Of note, he has Fitzpatrick V African American skin with no hyper or hypopigmentation (dark or white spots) after his treatment.

"I have been coming to Riviera Laser since 2000 and I look younger today than I did then. I tell every friend my secret when I am asked how I look so good. My friends all thank me. I love Dr. Mark and Dr. Jeannine and team."
